Emerging from the Viking Age in Scandinavia in the 7th century, the horn was used for ceremonial purposes as well as festive functions throughout the generations. As a drinking vessel worldwide, this horn will cater to any beverage you choose, be it boiling hot or ice cold. This is a truly unique piece hand crafted from 100% cow horn with a polished exterior and highlighted by ornate fire burned designs. It can hold from 500-700 ml.of liquid and comes complete with a black finished, genuine leather holder with a belt loop. Great for period parties and re-enactments.

* Please note there may be a slight odor as this is a natural item. The color and shape may vary and may not be exactly like the picture.  Item may have minor scratches due to buffing and natural material. When measuring this item we measure it at the spine. This is an all-natural item and you will need to coat inside with beeswax. In order to do this you will melt the beeswax and pour it in the horn. Wait for it to dry and then pull it out. Please wash with a gentle detergent and polish with vegetable oil to keep it from drying out. And from time to time you will want to use beeswax to coat the inside to keep from cracking.  Please do not use hot liquids in this item.
