Description
This short sword bears the hallmark grace and lightness often attributed to Elven craftsmanship, the sort a woodland scout or seasoned adventurer might favor. It was forged in Toledo, Spain, a city long celebrated for its steel and sword-making tradition. The blade is fashioned from high-quality stainless steel, chosen for its balance of strength and ease of care. Measuring 3/16″ thick at the ricasso, the blade offers a solid foundation without sacrificing nimbleness, essential for the fluid, precise strikes typical of Elven fighting styles. Each side of the blade is etched with a flame motif, a subtle tribute to the elegant artistry found in Elven arms. The grip is wrapped in black leather, bound with silver wire to ensure a firm hold while adding a refined detail. The blade’s surface has been hand-polished to a mirror finish, reflecting the skill and attention poured into its making. Though intended mainly for light, staged combat and display, its design captures the poised yet purposeful character of Elven blades. This sword is presented without a scabbard.
Fun fact: In many Elven tales, blades like this are said to be forged beneath the moon’s gentle light, believed to grant the weapon a faint glow that guides its wielder through shadowed woods.
