Description
This here is the Japanese Dragon Fury Samurai Katana Sword, crafted in the spirit of traditional swordsmithing. The blade stretches out to 26.75 inches, forged from high carbon steel that bears a visible hamon, the temper line that shows where the blade was carefully heated and quenched to balance hardness and flexibility. It arrives slightly sharpened, true to the way a katana should be, ready for finishing touches by its wielder.
The saya, or scabbard, is made from solid wood and finished in a flat black, offering a sturdy yet elegant housing for the blade. Wrapped around it is a black bull horn sageo cord, used historically for securing the sword to one’s belt or for ceremonial purposes. The scabbard is engraved with a traditional Japanese motif: a fierce two-headed dragon breathing twin flames, a symbol of power and protection. The throat of the saya is crafted from aluminum alloy, detailed with matching dragon scenes and coated in black to complement the overall design.
The tsuka, or handle, is also wooden and wrapped in black nylon cord using the classic braided style that provides both grip and aesthetic appeal. The pommel, made from black zinc alloy, features twin dragons that echo the imagery found on the guard, scabbard throat, and scabbard itself. The tsuba, or guard, is an oval-shaped piece of black aluminum zinc alloy, adorned with two dragons, serving to protect the hand while adding to the sword’s fierce character. A black habaki, the blade collar, fits snugly at the base of the blade to keep it secure within the handle.
