Dark Repulser Sword from Sword Art Online

Description

The Dark Repulser sword is crafted to resemble a pair of conjoined dagger blades, its aqua-colored steel catching the eye, while the grip is shaded a deeper hue to provide contrast. At the center of the guard sits a large aquamarine gem, a striking centerpiece that draws attention much like the gem fittings of fine medieval swords. This blade was forged by Lisbeth for Kirito using a rare Crystallite Ingot, obtained through a challenging quest within the world of Sword Art Online.

The blade itself is fashioned from carbon steel, known for its balance of strength and flexibility,qualities prized by blacksmiths through the ages. The hilt combines ABS plastic and zinc aluminum, materials chosen to mimic the look and feel of traditional fittings while providing durability. The sword is accompanied by a black faux leather sheath, designed to protect the blade much like the leather-wrapped scabbards of old.

The tale behind the Dark Repulser’s creation is as much a part of its character as the metal it’s made from. After Kirito accidentally broke one of Lisbeth’s most valued swords, the two ventured into the mountains in search of a Crystalline Ingot. There, they encountered a dragon rumored to produce a rare mineral. After a perilous night trapped in a pit, Kirito managed to grasp the dragon’s tail as it returned to its nest, securing the ingot,an unusual mineral formed from the dragon’s excrement. Upon returning to her forge, Lisbeth shaped this rare material into the Dark Repulser. When Kirito first swung the sword, he noted its weight as “heavy,” a testament to its solid construction and suitability for battle. He then demonstrated his skill with dual blades, marking the sword as a worthy companion to his Elucidator.
