Description
This spear head is hand forged from a blend of 1095 and 15N20 steels, skillfully folded multiple times to create the distinctive Damascus steel pattern visible on its surface. The traditional leaf-shaped blade measures 7.5 inches in length and is double-edged, tapering from 11.5 mm thick at the base down to 2 mm at the tip, providing a balance of strength and sharpness. The overall length of the spear head is just under 13 inches. The socket, designed to fit a wooden shaft, is about 0.73 inches in diameter and extends 5 inches, with a pre-drilled hole to secure the spear head firmly to the handle using a pin or rivet. This type of spear head, common in Viking and early medieval weaponry, was prized for its durability and cutting ability in close combat or thrown attacks.
