Description
This compact blade is forged from 512 layers of Damascus steel, crafted by repeatedly folding and welding thin sheets of steel. This technique produces a blade with distinctive swirling patterns and a combination of hardness and flexibility that few other steels can match. After forging, the blade is carefully tempered to balance toughness and edge retention, then hand-filed to shape and sharpen. The surface is etched in acid to bring out the layered patterns, a hallmark of Damascus steel. The integral finger guard is forged as one piece with the blade, providing both protection for the hand and a well-balanced feel in use.
