This sword, while not bearing a specific historical name, appears in several medieval manuscripts from the period. Our version is modeled after the example illustrated on plate 21, titled The Rescue of Lot. The blade is single-edged, broad, and flat, crafted to deliver strong, cleaving strikes. Its two-handed grip gives the wielder the leverage needed to maximize force, a key advantage in the thick of combat.
Hand-forged from high-carbon steel by skilled smiths, the blade is fitted with wooden scales on the grip, held securely by fittings made from aged copper. This mix of materials offers both resilience and a steady balance, allowing the sword to feel natural and responsive in the hands of its bearer.
Can be sharpened for an additional fee.
Can be personalized with 3 Initials.
Fun Fact: Crusader battle axes were valued companions to swords like this one, known for their ability to crush through chainmail and helmets with powerful, focused strikes, making them especially deadly on medieval battlefields.
