Description
This style of helmet finds its roots in ancient Greece, taking its name from the city-state of Corinth where armorers first crafted this design. It became a defining piece for Greek hoplite warriors during the early Classical period, valued for its full-face coverage and the distinctive shape that balanced protection with visibility.
This particular helmet is forged from 18-gauge steel, carefully shaped to mirror the traditional Corinthian form. The surface is treated with an antique bronze finish, lending the look of aged metal that has seen its share of campaigns. Crowning the crest is a plume made from black and natural striped horsehair,a detail that once indicated rank or unit affiliation among the soldiers. Inside, you’ll find a padded, adjustable liner and chin strap, providing a fit tailored to the wearer much like the custom adjustments a smith would have made for each hoplite.

Fun fact: The T-shaped opening of the Corinthian helmet was designed not only to shield the face but also to allow the wearer to listen carefully for orders amid the din of battle, striking a practical balance between defense and awareness.
