The blade is hand-forged from X46Cr13 stainless steel, a material prized for striking a balance between hardness and resistance to rust. Once shaped, the blade undergoes tempering in a carefully controlled furnace, achieving a Rockwell hardness of 48º. This treatment ensures the edge stays sharp while maintaining enough flexibility to endure impacts without cracking or chipping,a vital trait for blades intended for practical use in the field.
The handle is fashioned from weather-resistant rubber, sculpted to fit comfortably in the hand and maintain a secure grip even when wet or sweaty. The knife features full tang construction, meaning the steel extends through the entire length of the handle, lending strength and balance to the piece. The rubber handle also absorbs some of the shock from heavy chopping or thrusting, reducing hand fatigue during prolonged use. This blend of materials and design reflects the utilitarian needs of survival and combat tools that must perform reliably in tough, unpredictable conditions.
