Description
This Windlass Cobra Steel survival knife takes its design from the Spartan Lakonia, a short sword favored by the warriors of ancient Sparta. Unlike the longer blades common in classical Greece, the Lakonia’s reduced length allowed Spartans to fight at close quarters,what they called getting “one step closer to the enemy.” The blade is forged from X46Cr13 stainless steel, a material prized for its toughness and ability to hold a sharp edge even under demanding conditions. Built with a full tang, the blade extends through the handle, providing strength and balance essential for rigorous use.
