Description
This wood buttstock holster is shaped to fit the distinctive Mauser C-96 series, including the Broomhandle and Bolo models fitted with 10-round magazines. The stock is carved from solid wood and finished with a satin sheen that recalls the smoothness achieved by careful hand-rubbing, lending both resilience and a traditional appearance. The leather belt harness is tanned to a warm satin brown and stitched with waxed linen thread, providing durable strength and an authentic period look. All metal parts are deeply blued to resist rust, while the hardware bears a bright finish that provides a striking contrast to the darker elements.
The cleaning rod included measures 6″ long with a 1⁄4″ diameter, sized to work effectively with barrels chambered in both 7.62mm and 9mm calibers.
Fun fact: The Mauser C-96’s wooden holster was designed to double as a shoulder stock, transforming the pistol into a short rifle,a clever solution that allowed soldiers to switch between handgun and carbine roles with a single weapon in the early 1900s.
