Authentically designed after the popular chainmail armor of the Middle Ages which incorporates interlocked metal rings in a pattern, this piece features mild steel, wedge-riveted flat rings which alternate with solid flat rings. Each ring has an 18 gauge thickness and measures 9 mm in diameter. A leather band serves as a base for the chainmail to be sewn into and allows for riveting to a helmet. Great for costumes and re-enactments and a wonderful addition for armor connosseurs and medieval enthusiasts. Length of Leather Band: 24”
