Description
The very unique and surprisingly thoughtful styling of the Bascinet Helmet is something you don?t see very often. It was commonly seen throughout Germany in the 14th century, and was composed with a removal visor that was attached by a front hinge at the forehead.
Crafted from 14-gauge steel, this is one that protects the entire back of the head as well as the parts of the face that aren?t being protected by the vervelles (attachment points) and aventail, which are provided (please see our AB2735 Aventail). It is fully wearable for reenactment or costume, as it has been lined in leather and given a chin strap. Weight 7lbs
