Description
If you are looking for a powerful piece to use during SCA combat and reenactment, the Great Helm is it! It?s practical, serious and pretty mysterious! Throughout the 13th century, this head protection saw many changes. The reconstruction that we have used replicates the Pembroke helmet that was designed around 1300 AD, which is now secured in the Burrell Collection Glasgow.
It was very common back then to wear this type of helm along with a lightweight helmet, such as our Secret Helm AB0371/72. The Great Helm has been crafted from 14-gauge steel and then fully padded, so it offers protection while remaining comfortable to wear. Weighs 10.5lbs
Crafted from 14-gauge steel
Padded liner for safety and comfort
Great for SCA combat and reenactments
